Botanical Name: Aesculus hippocastanum

Actions: Reduces blood vessel permeability and thereby reduces vascular fragility and moderates inflammatory swelling; increases ability of blood vessels to reabsorb excess fluids from intercellular tissue spaces.

Uses: Reduces swelling caused by injury and inflammation: bruises, fractures, brain trauma and strokes; especially effective for varicose veins, spider veins, thrombophlebitis and hemorrhoids; chronic venous insufficiency (tiredness, heaviness, cramps, pain, itching and swelling in the legs); leg cramps at night; congested uterus and cervix; congestion of portal vessels.

Dose: Take 30 to 40 drops in half-cup of water, 2 to 4 times per day.

Cautions: Do not take undiluted extract internally. Large doses may cause nausea or itchy skin in some sensitive individuals.
